What Makes Good Theatre?
Over two thousand years ago, Greek philosopher Aristotle came up with ironclad rules for what makes good theatre...

...and artists have been breaking them ever since!

• In England, Edward Gordon Craig got rid of actors

• In Italy, Filippo Marinetti staged 2-minute plays

• In France, Antonin Artaud assaulted the audience

What will you do?
Take Theatre Theory (THE 332) this Fall with Professor Claudia Case, and you’ll learn why and how people have been making, breaking, and changing the rules of the game for thousands of years -- and you’ll get to make your own rules as well. The class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
