The Children’s Theatre Company at Lehman
Since its inception, The Children’s Theatre Company at Lehman College has performed hundreds of original productions with the Bronx Arts Ensemble (a professional performance ensemble) for thousands of children at venues such as The Bronx Zoo, The New York Botanical Garden, The Riverdale Y, Whitehall, The Van Cortlandt House, Lehman College and at schools all over the metro area. In 2011 the company was commissioned by the Bronx Zoo to create an original piece for children that ran for over thirty performances from mid-April through June. These performances were seen by thousands of people from all over the world and were so successful that the company was asked to create another show for the zoo to run through October 2011. That show is entitled “So You Think That’s Scary’ and is currently running at the Zoo to very enthusiastic audiences.
The company specializes in what we like to call “fairy-tale sketch comedy” – which is taking a classic fairy tale and reworking it into a smart and funny play with music – that both children and adults can enjoy. We are also adept at creating original material that represents and celebrates your organization.

Our newest show is The Emperor’s New Clothes which we will premiere in April of 2012.
