The bronx repertory Company

The Bronx Repertory Company is a theatre company comprised of emerging professionals from the Lehman College Theatre program, augmented with seasoned professionals from the New York City theatre community. The goal of the company is to provide an artistic home - a safe creative place - for the Lehman alumni actor, and to provide a theatre company the Bronx can call its own. The company focuses on new work by emerging playwrights as well as provocative work by established authors that resonates with our sophisticated, urban audience.

The Herbert H. Dance Company (herbie)

A dance company comprised of Lehman students and alumni, dedicated to the goal of nurturing and presenting the work of emerging professional choreographers and dancers from the Lehman College community.

summerworx & the kids rule weekend

Every summer, since 2003, Lehman Stages has been bringing Bronx families together for SUMMERWORX, a summer arts and culture festival for the whole family. SUMMERWORX has become a much-loved tradition in the community and every year we welcome thousands of our neighbors from the North Bronx and beyond to the Lehman College campus to help us celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our favorite borough.We offer three core programs every summer that have become extremely popular with our audiences: Salsa Under the Stars - wonderful performances of great salsa and merengue performed outdoors, Movies Under a Bronx Moon - classic family films, outdoors on the big screen and The Kids Rule Weekend - two days of theatre, music, magic, water slides, pony rides and much, much more. All for free.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA

We bring the community together to celebrate the holidays with a breakfast buffet, activities, live music, theatre, magic, take-home arts and crafts, and OF COURSE, Santa's arrival! Breakfast with Santa has become a much-beloved event for the whole family!

bronx tales

Real Bronx stories, told live, by Lehman students, alumni and community members - Bronx Tales is an evening of true stories about joy, pain, life and love in and around our favorite borough. A twice yearly event presented in the spring and fall.

the bronx music project

Since 2003, Lehman Stages has been presenting special concert events featuring our amazingly talented student and alumni singers and musicians. These concerts, performed at various venues - and even outdoors - are an intimate affair – where singer and audience really create something special for the Bronx.

THE SUMMER STAGE CRAFT INTENSIVE

The goal of the Stagecraft Intensive is to awaken, develop and nurture the technical theatre talents of young people in the Bronx. Through stagecraft arts education and practice, participants will attain employable skills while cultivating their artistic growth in the areas of scenic construction, lighting methodology, sound methodology, and costuming techniques. We believe that young people in the Bronx deserve experiential learning, and to be exposed to the readily available opportunities for gainful employment in a New York City creative industry that continues to suffer from a lack of diversity backstage.
